  • What is a Geothermal Heat Pump?
  • A Geothermal Heat Pump is an alternative solution to standard home heating and cooling systems. Using the Earth as a conduit, we are able to naturally heat and cool water without the use of excessive electricity. This severly reduces the cost of running air and water conditioning.

  • How does a Geothermal Heat Pump work?
  • First, pipes are buried approximately 200 to 500 feet below the surface, creating a cloosed loop system. Water is then pumped through the closed loop system, and will naturally cool the water during the summer, and will naturally heat the water during the winter. This proccess provides free hot water during the summer, and allows home owners to significantly save on hot water in the winter. Compared to standard conditioning units, a Geothermal Heat Pump is up to 70% more efficient in heating, and up to 40% more efficient in cooling.

  • Are Geothermal Heat Pumps loud?
  • Not at all. Typically, the Geothermal Heat Pump unit is either buried in the ground or located within the home. Usually these units operate at about 50 Decibels, which is about as loud moderate rainfall. Where as traditional AC Units may operate as loud as 75 Decibels, which is about as loud as a Vaccum Cleaner, or Portable Generator.

  • Are Geothermal Heat Pumps enviromentally friendly?
  • Geothermal Heat Pumps are 100% electric, and do not produce any biproducts. Additionally, they are much more effiecent than typical conditioning units, and thus will use less energy, reducing your dependence on fossil fuel even further, a perfect combonation to use with Solar Panels.
